Hey there everybody!
Merry (late) Christmas! I hope that yours was as great as mine! My parents and grandparents always spoil me rotten and so I was in no shortage of gifts. Lol! Also, I got to spend the whole day just relaxing with my family, which in my busy life is quite rare! My family spends a lot of time together but normally it's rushed and full of places to go.
I also got an extra special gift... I got to visit with my very special, baby cousin Londyn! She is my cousin Sara's daughter and they live three hours away so I cherish any time I get to spend with them!
But even though all these gifts were so amazing and I loved every single one, I got my favorite gift of all on the first Christmas night over two thousand years ago. God gave me the gift of spending the rest of eternity with Him, in the form of a small, gentle baby. Omnipresent, all-powerful, Creator of the universe, Jesus came in the form of a quiet, helpless infant. He humbled himself and came, as the song says, like "a winter's snow". When He could have came as a powerful, mighty King. So while Christmas is a time for family and has become a time for gifts, the real "reason for the season" truly is Jesus.
So that's why this year, and every year to come, my New Years Resolution is to share with more people the best gift I have ever gotten... Jesus!

Two down...... Lots to go!
Hey everyone!
Just wanted to do a mini-blog to keep you updated!.......
Ok so I have been running arouond like a mad woman since I blogged last! And though I have been oh so busy I have only crossed off two of the things I listed in my last post!!!
The Christmas piano recital went very smoothly and I don't like to give myself props or anything (LOL ;D) but I was really satisfied with how my piece went! Normally I am so nervous but that night I just had fun with it!
Also, the weekend retreat with our youth group was VERY fun! :) I learned a lot from our amazing youth pastor and had so much fun fellowshipping with some of my close friends! But I have to say that probably one of the most fun things was that I got to play paintball for the very first time! It was so much fun! I was really nervous about getting hit (I don't tollerate pain very well! lol) but I only got hit once and it didn't even hurt that badly!
So I still have a TON on the to do list and its gotten even bigger since the last post! But even with the seemingly never-ending agenda, I am still fitting in time for enjoying the holiday spirit and remembering what this season is really about--- Celebrating the birth of God's Son! Hope your doing the same!!!

Hey there!
Long time no blog! I have been crazy busy lately! But hey, that just means that I have a lot to fill u guys in on! :)
Just cuz I haven't been blogging doesn't mean I've had idle hands! Our Youth Choir at my church has begun practice for our Christmas play in December, and I am heavily involved in that. Its my sixth year participating in that and this year I have a solo AND a speaking part!!!! So excited!
Also, I began to work at a daycare in my neighborhood with some pretty amazing kids! (I love them!) and we are putting on a Christmas concert for the parents!
I am pretty much knee deep in Christmas music right now (not that I'm complaining ;) ) because I am also practicing for my Christmas piano recital THIS Thursday!
And last thursday I got to have an amazing night with my amazing Daddy! <3 He took me to a daddy daughter banquet held by our church. Also, that same night he gave me my beautiful purity ring! (For anyone who doesn't know what that is: it is basically a ring that you wear until you get married. It is a reminder to keep your mind, heart, and body pure until marriage and in return a promise from my parents to do what they believe is best for me.) And also, a beautiful and super sweet letter that made me cry!
On a more serious note, since I blogged last I had a very good friend go on to be with the Lord. His name was Ben and he was such an amazing guy! He will be remembered forever and always be missed. He led an amazing life and left a great legacy that points to God all the way!
Ben's passing has taught me many things: to not take any of my time here for granted, that you really don't know just how much someone means to you until you are gone, and so much more. But most important, it has reminded me once again that God has a purpose for EVERYTHING. God does nothing "just because".
Ben passed away in a motorcycle accident. He was immediately flown to shock trauma. Within an hour of this happening many of our church members, which are also his close friends and family, were notified and began to pray and ask others to pray as well. By the end of youth group that night, he had a MAJOR prayer group behind him. We all pulled together to pray. And when the call came of his death, no one stopped praying. Everyone turned their prayers to the family, who in the midst of the loss of their son, brother, and friend, were an amazing example of Christ. They turned his death into a way to reach the lost. Their first priority was for God to be glorified!
Even though The Lord didn't answer our prayers exactly how we wanted I genuinely believe that, even though it is hard for us to realize, God is slowly turning this horrible tragedy into a triumph.
ALL FOR HIS GLORY!!!

That 'blah' period...
Hello friends,
I thought I might put up a post today because I am feeling a little low. I am at the stage where it's not quite the fun part of fall but yet summer is over and school has begun. So just in case anyone else out there in this 'blah' period with me, I thought I might blog a few things that make me smile... :)

My FIRST Blog!!!!!!
Hello everyone!
It's my first post on my first ever blog and I am oh so excited! Since I'm new to the blogging world I wanted to introduce myself a lil' bit! My name is Briana and I am a participant in those complicated years of life called high school. And contrary to some of the horror stories, I am surviving! Although that may have something to do with the fact that I'm homeschooled and I don't have to deal with the drama of a regular school! But don't be fooled! Homeschooling isn't all ribbons and roses either! You still havta finish the ENTIRE gruelsome workload, and just because you do it at home doesn't mean there's no distractions either!
Speaking of distractions, I also have two adorable younger brothers, Micah and Ben. Though they can sometimes be just that, a distraction, I love them to death! And watching over us all are my amazing parents. Like any teenager, my parents and I have our tiffs sometimes but they always amaze me with their forgiveness, love, and compassion. Our family is very close-knit and even our humungous extended family are always trying their best to stay as connected as possible.
I am a lover of all things music, dance, and drama, and I also have played softball for as long as I can remember. I have the most amazing group of friends on the planet and between family and our church I have some of the best role models around.
Well I think that pretty much sums it up for now! I'll be adding a 'More on Me' page soon that you can check if you wanna know more!
